The Math Department has struggled this year with seeing how to integrate technology in the classroom. Paul Mayfield shared this website with me, and I wanted to share it with you. It is titled 60 Ways Math Teachers Can Use Google Classroom. But what I love and why I wanted to share is anyone can use these tools in any classroom and curriculum.
Technology is not to be used as a babysitting tool, just placing worksheets online for them to complete and turn in. (That is an evolutionary step sideways). But as a collaborative tool of authentic assessment. It makes teachers facilitators not a sage-on-the-stage. We should all try, baby steps. We will fail, but learn from failure. But we will do us a dis-service if we do not give them technology skills that all employers will require of our graduates. Technology can be the great equalizer against inequity. We should not wait. We can all find a use for us.
